With intensive trainings to complete at work, savings that VERY SLOWLY grew (you know what I mean ... being independent from parents :o)), and accumulated vacation balance that stayed in 0 days for the longest time that we could ever remember, Marcel and I found it very challenging to meet up and celebrate our new status -- the new milestone in our relationship.
Before we knew it, it's already 5 months into our engagement. When I checked my mail that day, I received a very thoughtful card from my geeky fiance (then)! On the card, it listed 10 reasons why we should be together. However, the #1 was a fill-in-the-blank one. So Marcel wrote a cute programming code at the back of the card.
I'm sure he put a lot of thoughts into it (because many believe that programmers are not creative :o) although I disagree after I got this card from Marcel). He basically stated that our birthdays comprised our engagement date ("3-5" for "March 5th")
On August 12, 2006, we finally met; and he officially proposed (using props from Ko Yohan's wedding skit hahaha)
