NO PAIN IN HEAVEN

Olllaaa, it's been awhile since the last time I was on the blog. Life is doing fabulous. I am getting more involved with the Nursery ministry at church. The kids are so precious. They keep me young that's for sure.

Well, last Friday (March 21st) was Good Friday. I was scheduled to teach Nursery and pre-k that night. The praise and worship, teaching, and Last Supper reenactment went very well. It was definitely the power of prayer. I never thought that it could go as well with 2 crying babies (plus 10 other kids) and only 2 helpers. God is good!

After the whole thing is done, I had a quick conversation with Nathan (Ce Hung). I will try to find his picture soon. Right now, I don't have one. But he is my precious. :-) He's only 5. But tell you what, I will never underestimate what a 5-year old can do after being around Ce Hung more often lately.

Anyway, going back to my conversation with Ce Hung. I was walking in the hallway and found Memei (Ce Hung's little sister) was crying because she accidentally hit her head to the wall. While mom was trying to comfort Memei, Ce Hung came and asked me this question, "Cici Yanny, do you know where you wouldn't feel any pain or sickness?"

"Hmm ... where is it, Ce Hung?" I replied with curiosity of what place he would come up with.

Ce Hung then pointed his right index finger upward.

"What is up there?" I asked.

"Heaven," he answered.

Deep in my heart, I was like, "Hmm .. not bad at all for a 5-year old to be thinking like this. Let's try to dig more from him."

"O yeah? Heaven? Why is that in Heaven we won't feel any pain anymore?" I continued to ask.

"Because God had made it pure," he said.

"Oh .. so how do we get to Heaven then?"

"By believing in Jesus Christ," he firmly answered me.

I knew at that moment that God has blessed Ce Hung so much that he could engage me in that kind of conversation.

"So, who is Jesus Christ?" I asked with happy heart

"Jesus Christ is the King of Heaven. And Satan is the king of Hell. Uhh, I don't want to go to hell. It's hot, Cici Yanny."

I then helped him clarify, "Jesus Christ is not only the King of Heaven, Hung, He is also the King of the Earth."

"Yes, you are right."

I don't know how many 5-year old can have this kind of faith these days. The whole conversation with Ce Hung that night just reaffirmed me that it is such an honor to be part of the Nursery ministry for the little things I do or say contribute in planting these little seeds in growing in Jesus Christ. What a humbling ministry!

Do you have the heart like Ce Hung?
