THIRD TRIMESTER WITH MANNY

Click here for our journal on the first trimester and here for the second trimester.

Verse that Comforts Us
"Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path." -- Psalm 119:105

On Manny

You are now a full-term baby.  Yayy, praise the LORD.  You have grown steadily and healthily thus far.  And you have filled out most of the space inside of Mamah's tummy.  :-)

You've been head down for at least the past 6 weeks.  And recently, you have turned backward (the desired labor position).  When you stretch, we could feel your cute butt cheeks and pointy heels popping out of Mamah's tummy.  Papah loves it when you do this.  You and Papah would play tickling your feet every night.  Both of you enjoyed the little game routine.

These past few weeks, when people asked us, "When is the due date?"  We would answer, "Well, whenever the baby is ready to come out, we are ready.  We'll let him decide the 'date'."

On Mamah and Papah

Overall, Mamah had gained about 23 pounds.  Praise the Lord for no swelling on my ankles and the ability to exercise to date.

This past Sunday, Mamah had experienced some irregular practice contractions.  Yesterday at the doctor's appointment, we found out that my cervix was already 80% effaced, 2-cm dilated; and the baby's head was at -1 station already.  YAYYYY.  So now, we're on the watch for the real signs of labor.  Can't wait to see you, Baby.  And that makes this blog post perhaps the last one for awhile for us.  :-)

As for Papah, he's been working from home this week to coach Mamah and baby during the labor and birth when those happen.  What a support we have.  Thank you, Papah.  MUACHHH!!!

Things that We Learned or Got Reminded of
  • God is always in control ... even at the smallest thing in our lives.  For example, after a 3-month challenge of getting good night rest, last night Mamah was finally able to sleep through the night for 8 hours.  The great night sleep we need to prepare for the labor
