This week has been a week full of reflection for me.
Two years ago, about this time, I was in a biking accident. And today, all my injuries had healed and are no longer bothering me even though I have to modify some of my activities to avoid straining my injuries again. For example, I'd do my pregnancy exercise (pelvic rock) with my upper body on the bed instead of supported by my hands on the floor. My wrists appreciate this better after the accident :-)
A year ago, about this time, I took the first flight to Chicago for my internal transfer and one-week training at work. Though it was a fruitful trip, I remember how I wished to be home with Marcel and present for Wesley's baby sprinkler (who ended up coming to the world that very same night).
And today, not only that Wesley's one and playful but also I am officially a homemaker. :-) The position I took a year ago had given me a memorable journey and friendship with the company and its people. But as of today, I have decided to focus more on my family, the rest of the pregnancy, and baby Manny. I really am looking forward to this new journey. I'm sure there are adjustments we need to make along the way; but my heart is telling me that it will be a worthwhile decision for our family. I find a great peace in the decision.
Definitely it has been a week full of reflection. A week full of thanksgiving. Praising You, Lord, for Your guidance, direction and protection!
Talking about pregnancy, I've been craving fish cakes. At the same time, I need to eat eggs every day to strengthen my water bag (so to avoid having it break too early which can increase the chance of complication). With that, I want to share a simple soup recipe that you can serve for your little ones too. It's Fish Cake and Egg Soup LOL. What a creative name huh? (I KNOW I KNOW). Click here for the recipe.
Hope you get a chance to try this recipe. Please let me know how it turns out for ya!!!
