TIP: HOMEMADE MILDEW OR MOLD REMOVER

Here goes another homemade "formula" to remove mildew or mold.  I have stopped using store-bought mildew remover for a year now.  And I have been using kitchen-found ingredients for my cleaning formula.

I researched online on how to clean mildew/mold in a more environmentally friendly way.  And I found this combination of Baking Soda and Vinegar.  I use the baking soda that I stored in the freezer for odor eliminator.  Since the date has passed; and I cannot use it for cooking, I might as well use it for cleaning :-).  And I just ran out of the regular vinegar.  So I used the Apple Cider Vinegar instead.  It works well for me.  So give it a try!!!

Here goes the video I took today while cleaning the bathroom.

IT'S MARCH 5 AGAIN YAYYY

This blog post is a week late.  But that is alright.  :-)

So it's that time again for our anniversary.  Nope, not the wedding anniversary.  It's the engagement anniversary.  Marcel and I love to celebrate anniversaries.  We even still celebrate our "jadian" anniversary.  I know, we're "different" as you may say.  We just want to find excuses for every little milestone in our lives.

For our fifth anniversary, we were blessed with the opportunity to visit the Niagara Falls.  The weather was rainy and foggy that day.  Plus, the snow was still covering the majority of land.  Even that did not make us cancel the trip.  We really looked forward for this trip to the Niagara Falls - rain or shine.  :-)

So here are some memorabilia we took while at the Niagara Falls.  Marcel's camera had to be put away because of the weather.  We used our mobile device to capture these instead.  Hope you enjoy them even though they are a little blurry!

TIP: COOK INSTANT NOODLES AT HOTEL

Remember this tip on free drinking water at a hotel?  Well, not only that I was thirsty, but I was also hungry during that stay.  I bought several cups of instant noodles the night before.  So while Marcel was at a business meeting, I made myself a  cup of instant noodles.  You can try this too.

You will need:
  • Coffee maker
  • Drinking water (I used the water I made from melting the ice cubes)
  • A cup of instant noodles

Put 3 - 4 cups of water in the coffee maker and then turn the machine on.  Depending on the coffee maker, my hotel's took about 15 minutes to heat up the entire pot.  The water will not boil, but hot enough to "cook" the noodles.

Once the temperature has been reached, pour the water to the line indicated in the instant noodles instruction.  Close the lid for at least 3 minutes.  VOILA!!!!  Here goes my quick meal!! No need room service.  I could save the money for something else.  :-)

May this tip be handy for you!

ARGUMENT IS THE LONGEST DISTANCE BETWEEN TWO POINTS

Marcel and I have been using God's Little Devotional Book for Couples for our daily devotional.  Each day it has a short and encouraging Bible Verse and encouragement words to start our day.

In our devotional time this morning, Marcel and I learned the "Seven Official Rules for a Good, Clean Fight" by Charlie W. Shedd.

It was a good reminder for me and Marcel.  Living as a social being, conflicts are just inevitable at times.  May that be between a husband and his wife, friends, parents and children, siblings, teachers and students, fellow drivers on the road, co-workers, etc.

With that, I would like to share the seven rules by Charlie W. Shedd:
1) Before we begin, we must both agree that the time is right.
2) We will remember that our only aim is deeper understanding.
3) We will check our weapons often to be sure they are not deadly.
4) We will lower our voices one notch instead of raising them two.
5) We will never quarrel or reveal private matters in public.
6) We will discuss an armistice whenever either of us calls "halt."
7) When we have come to terms, we will put it away till we both agree it needs more discussing.

May this be a blessing to you.
