DO YOU KNOW YOUR JINGLE BELLS LYRICS?

The week after Christmas, Marcel was driving me to the office.  We were stuck at a traffic light for awhile.  All of the sudden, Marcel sang, "Dancing to the pole." (with Jingle Bells rhythm).

(Marcel paused; we looked at each other)

Yanny, "That didn't sound right, Babe!"

Marcel, "Hmm, that didn't come out right huh?"

But none of us knew the right lyrics.

Marcel, "Dancing with the pole."

Yanny, "Hmm, that didn't sound right either.  I think it's snow instead of pole."

Marcel, "Dancing to the snow."

Marcel, "Oh oh I know, Dancing with the snow!"

(We both paused again)

All of the sudden we cracked up.  The light turned green (finally).  We gave up by then.  Surely we weren't lyrics people and never paid attention to the lyrics.

Once I got to the office, I Googled the lyrics.  Now .. it should REALLY say, "Dashing through the snow!"  :-)
